Well Well Well...
I just realized that I have two drafts of Drunk Blog 2 before the actual glorious piece of prose that is published. Amazing...Its getting harder and harder to decipher too...
Well I'm back in Chicago...woo. It was a nice long break away from the city and school and I took FULL advantage of it.
So in my first week home I was in GF for random things...dentist eyes labotomy..no wait...my psycho aunt needs one of those. And then I drove to Canada to pick up Rumba at the airport. Yes 2 hours just for my CanadiEn...oh well, it saves some money. Its fun to drive with him too...we have our best conversations during long car rides. We went to J Han's dad's 50th surprise party...it was a great type. Mr. UPS is like a 2nd dad to me as J Hans and I have been friends for 12 years now. Then we were in WesFar for a few days during my birthday and spent time with my parents and such. Then we took a road trip through NoDak so that Rumba could meet the rest of the family. We stopped in Medina to see my Great Grandma H or Gramma Clampett as we sometimes call her (still shoots rabbits with her.22...freaking 85 years old and shooting out her patio door...holy hell). Its always nice to see her; I'm her oldest great-grandchild so we have been super close my whole life. Then on to Minnote (as Rumba calls it..silly French) to meet grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins...whirlwind two days. He even met two aunts on my Dad's side that was kind of a fluke as they live in Ohio and Oregon and were up to visit at the same time. Didnt' see Crazy Mary Jo...damn...no not really.
Rumba and I came back to WFar to finish up our week together. We talked a LOT about him moving to the States this year so that we can end the distance and start working on our future together. More discussions to come but I feel really good about it and I think he does too.
K. Hope is doing great!! She had her heart surgery on May 11th and everything went well. She had a minor setback when her lymphatic system wasnt working properly and she was leaking chyle and formula near her lungs. Nothing that was life threatening but they had to sedate her for awhile again, put her back on the vent again and try to clear it up. But she's doing much better now. She hasnt eaten much at all really and her eating habits have been messed up several times throughout the month. AND amazingly she hasn't lost any weight. Still has her chubby little cheekers!! Rumba and I got to see her before as they were making their way to Minneapolis. Its such a scary, heart-wrenching feeling to hold her and watch her smile and say goodbye and then watch her go through all this. She's such a fighter and she's doing great; she's a real inspiration to me.
My sister graduated from high school on Sunday. Congrats to her. Saw lots of people I haven't seen in awhile at the party which was nice.
Started summer school on Tuesday. Taking 3 classes, 2 of which are not at all that exciting but necessary just the same. 8 weeks should go fast though.
Congrats to EmmyLou and the arrival of her new niece! How exciting!! Babies!!
Congrats to Liz on her new job!! Woot!! Good luck with the big move!!
Well I be off...there isnt much more to say. Will post a picture of K. Hope too. Later.

Take a Bus, Take a Plane, Take a Train....
Amtrak brought me home on Sunday. Nice ride. Rainy and cold as fuck on the train as always, but it went fast. Hard for 13 hours to go fast but it was on time which is always good. It seems that the train going west is on time usually but the train going east usually is not on time. Nice to be back. Whenver I come home, I cant get over how QUIET it is here. I listen to sirens and car alarms and traffic just about 24 hours a day, no exaggeration, and here its...silence...its nice.
Since I've been home, I havent done anything exciting which is fine by me. Been shopping and such with my mom. Came to GF on Tuesday for the dentist and eye doctor. Big thumbs down. Thats over for a year thank God. Went out with AvTrav last night. That guy is hilarious! He is a friend of my ex but him and I became friends after Andy introduced us and continued when Andy left. He's super nice and fun to be around and I always call him when I come home. We went for drinks last night and had some laughs. He works too damn hard, so I think he was happy to have a night off.
Patiently awaiting for Saturday and Rumba's arrival. I have to drive to Winnipeg to pick him up and then we'll come back to GF. J Hans dad Pete is turning 50 so we're going to a party for him on Saturday. Should be a great time, I love Pete. He's like a 2nd dad for me. After the party, we'll drive to Fargo and spend some time with my parents. I'm super excited to see him as is he. We'll get a good long week together.
Not much news otherwise. Lots of family drama which is oh so thrilling...and unecessary..sigh...selfish bitches...
Anyhow, will update later. K. Hope has surgery on Thursday. Pray for her please, she and her family need it....
